This past week we have been reviewing and practicing all that we have learned this year! We will continue this review into next week as well.
You will also see a post card that your child brought home Thursday - this was from a guest we had in our classroom on Wednesday! This guest will come every Wednesday morning in May & will teach the kids about money and making decisions. This goes along with Kindergarten social studies standards!
Things that can be practiced at home:
-Addition & Subtraction within 10
-Flat (square, rectangle, circle, etc.) & Solid (cube, cone, cylinder, sphere.) shape recognition and charactristics
-Counting & writing numbers to 100
-Reading leveled text sent home & using reading strategies
-Reading & writing sight words and CVC words (cat, bit, met, ran, etc. -- short vowel words)
I have some fun Science & Craft activities planned for next week that we will do after testing!!!
I shared with the kids yesterday that I am SO PROUD of all their hard work & progress this year!!! They have all been doing a great job!
